Tanuhi Hot Springs are in Hulu Banyu Village, Loksado District, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency. It is 1 km from Kilat Api Waterfall or 31 km from Kandangan City, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency, by motorcycle or car. There are manifestations of geothermal systems found here as hot springs. The geothermal system in this area is included in the non-volcanic geothermal system that is not directly related to the current path of volcanism because the source of heat come from the radioactive decay process in granite of the Batanglai/Belawaian Granite Group 95- 135 million years ago (Early Cretaceous). There are 2 hot springs here. Based on the analysis results, hot water in this location is sulphate water formed by the condensation of H2S gas on groundwater (steam heated waters) which is above the groundwater level, while volatile gas (H2S) comes from geothermal fluid solutions but separated by the boiling process of the chloride water and this gas moves towards the outlet area vertically. This type of non-volcanic hot water is characterized by mediumhigh temperatures (40-490) and a pH close to neutral because of the reaction of water with the surrounding rock, where the heat stored in the rock is passed by water sources originating from meteors, resulting in hot water on the surface.
