The Snake Stone (Serpentinite) is in Mandiangin Village, Aranio District, Banjar Regency. It is 6 km away from Geopark Information Center by motorcycle or car. Located at an altitude of 400-600 meters above sea level. It is composed of serpentinite rocks as a part of Ultramafic Rock Group aged 180-152 million years ago (Middle Jurassic). The colour of this serpentinite rock is dominated by a greyishgreen colour, so it looks like snake skin and as the basis for naming this location. During the Middle Jurassic period there was still a process of subduction of the Paternoster Continental Crust towards Sundaland and the proximity of the two continental crusts resulting in the Pre-Collision of the Paternoster Microcontinent by the South Sulawesi Block which caused the Schwaner Mountains volcanism to stop
