The Malaris Long House is in Lok Lahung Village, Loksado District, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency. It is 44 km from the Dodol Kandangan Center or about 39 km from Kandangan City, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency, by motorcycle or car. It is at an altitude of 230 meters above sea level and based on the process of earth event (geology) composed of Haruyan Formation Rocks aged 64.5-95 million years ago (Late Cretaceous) exist Meratus Dayak Tribe, named the Malaris Long House or known as Kaharingan Religious Traditional Hall now. The hall with length about 45 x 40 square meters became the longest and largest traditional hall, was intended for the Meratus Malaris Dayak Tribe to perform certain Aruh Adat/Upacara rituals, where tens of families used to live in this hall. The construction of the floor and pillars made from ironwood and walls made from woven bamboo became the hallmark of the Malaris Long House, being quite large, there are booths/rooms, and in the middle, there is a large area used for traditional ceremonies. These materials are found around the area, because the soil from the weathering of igneous rock, products from old volcanism activity becomes suitable ground and supported by climatic conditions compatible for these plants.
