The Kahung Tropical Rain Forest is in Belangian Village, Aranio District, Banjar Regency. It is 5.8 km from Belangian Village by motorcycle / on feet. As a result from earth events (geology) originating from the Ultramafic Rock Group aged 180-135 million years ago (Middle-Late Jurassic), the Diorite Group aged 143- 157 million years ago (Early Cretaceous) , and the Basalt Group aged 59-65 million years ago (Late Cretaceous) which can be found along the way. Some natural phenomena of earth events (geology) such as various rocks, there are also faults with strikeslip fault types as a result of Meratus Mountains Formation process. The fault can be found along the river leading to the forest area, and at the top there is the Kahung Valley Waterfall composed of pillow-structured basalt rocks and Kahung Mountain about 1,456 meters above sea level. In addition to natural phenomena (geology), you can also find biodiversity typical of the Meratus Mountains, woody tree species such as Binuang Laki, Meranti, Mawai, Banyan, Rawali, as well as several types of orchids and herbs (bridal veil), while for fauna you can find black monkey (hirangan), hammerhead worms and some species of frogs and snakes.
