The Diamond-Bearing Sandstone is in the Riam Kanan Lake, Belangian Village, Aranio District, Banjar Regency. It is 3.7 km from the Drowned Settlement by an engine boat or what the local community calls “Klotok”. It is composed of sandstones as the result of earth events (geology) originating from the Manungul Formation which was 59-65 million years ago (Late Cretaceous) and was deposited in an submarine fan depositional environment. The Manunggul Formation which experienced metasomatic contact with diamonds that had accumulated during the Jurassic age.
